Service Project

Renew your connection with the Mercy Mission by participating in a service project along with students, faculty, staff and the Sisters of Mercy. Help fill hygiene kits called “I Care Kits” that will be distributed to homeless veterans at Shephard’s Heart Ministry.

Volunteer for as little as 15 minutes or up to 2 hours.
No cost to attend.

PS: We are asking all alumni to donate travel size toiletry items for “I Care Kits” that will be distributed to homeless veterans as part of this Service Project. Alumni can drop off their toiletry items at the Homecoming registration table.

Faculty Presented Seminar: Civil Rights: Carlow and the Civil Rights Movement: Then and Now

Join your classmates and leading faculty for a discussion of civil rights – as urgent an issue today as it was in the 1960s. Carlow students have just returned from a civil rights tour of the south visiting historic sites and meeting with the foot soldiers of the movement. Share your experiences with our faculty and hear how Carlow is continuing to engage in this crucial social justice mission.

Masters of Fine Arts Reading

Carlow’s MFA in Creative Writing Program is a dual-residency program in the U.S. and Ireland that has produced award-winning writers whose work has been recognized nationally and internationally. MFA Alumni will be reading from their poetry, fiction, and nonfiction in celebration of Homecoming Weekend.
