Carlow Lenten Evening of Reflection: Handling Lifetime Transitions
Dr. Maureen Crossen presenting at the Carlow Lenten Evening of Reflection

With the recent ending of the 2017 Lenten season, the Office of Alumni Engagement was excited to partner with the Center for Mercy Heritage and Service to present “Transitions” an Evening of Reflection. This event was presented for graduating seniors, staff, faculty and alumni seeking a spiritual perspective on navigating life changes.

We had the privilege of having Dr. Maureen Crossen from Carlow University’s Theology department present on the topic, and attendee’s engaged in deep meaningful discussions about life’s transitions.

Thank a Donor Day!
On March 23, 2017 Carlow University and the Office of University Advancement celebrated Thank A Donor Day! The purpose of this day is to create awareness within the student body of the importance of philanthropy at Carlow. Without outside funding from our benefactors, the tuition for many students would dramatically increase. Thank A Donor Day is an opportunity to educate our students about the importance of giving back to the University and to demonstrate how students directly benefit from the generosity of others.
Carlow University students distribute Thank a Donor Day gifts to Faculty & Staff donors on campus.
Spring Phonathon

Thank you to all the alumni who answered the call during our Spring Phonathon. Our hard working student callers were thrilled to be able to speak with you and share their Carlow experience. Many of them receive some form of financial aid – students on whom your giving has a direct and immediate impact. During this one week campaign Carlow alumni collectively gave/pledged $31,260 to the Carlow Fund!

If we missed you and you’d like to make your Carlow Fund gift today, just click here to give online now!

Chemistry and cooking collide in a new course.

For a baker, lemon meringue pie is a tart dessert with an airy foam atop a smooth yellow filling. For students in Carlow’s molecular gastronomy course — or maybe even Alton Brown — lemon meringue pie is a colloidal system, which involves a gas dispersed in liquid, atop a smooth yellow filling. Click here to learn more.
